Won The Dam Project On Sumbawa Island Rp272 Billion, Waskita Karya Optimistic New Contract Target Reached Rp30 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk won the infrastructure project tender for the Remedial and Sedimentation Handling Dam Project on Sumbawa Island IV, located in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The project, which is spread across several areas in Bima and Dompu regencies, is worth IDR 272 billion.
The signing of the work contract was carried out by the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Operation and Maintenance of SDA IV Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Syamsudin ST., MT and Waskita Karya's Senior Vice President (SVP) InfrastructureI Division, I Nyoman Agus Pastima at the Balai Office Nusa TenggaraI River Area on Monday, May 23, 2022.
The Company's SVP Corporate Secretary, Novianto Ari Nugroho said the purpose of this project is to optimize the function of the dam, especially on Sumbawa Island. "In the future, this dam will be very beneficial for the surrounding community, in addition to being a facility for providing water for settlements and agriculture during the dry season," he said in a written statement, Thursday, June 2.
In addition, Novianto continued, the project can also prevent the occurrence of flood hazards, especially for people living around riverbanks. Meanwhile, the scope of work that will be carried out by Waskita includes the preparation, implementation, completion and maintenance of civil works in the form of repairs to maximize the function of the dam.
"Meanwhile, the implementation period of the work takes 450 days," he explained.
According to Novianto, the winning of this tender adds to the achievement of the New Contract Value (NKB) achieved by the Company, which in April 2022 had reached Rp7.48 trillion, an increase of 347 percent in the same period last year.
The NKB revenue sourced from Government projects amounting to 34.36 percent, BUMN and BUMD 1.84 percent, business development of subsidiaries 7.26 percent and private sector 56.53 percent.
Meanwhile, said Novianto, based on the project segmentation, the NKB consists of the infrastructure connectivity segment 76.59 percent, subsidiaries 7.26 percent, buildings 5.90 percent, EPC 2.41 percent and water resources (SDA) 7.83 percent. .
"With the implementation of Waskita's 8 Stream Financial Restructuring Strategy and support from the Government, the Company is optimistic that this year's NKB target of Rp. 30 trillion can be achieved," he explained.
