Many Highlights, KPK Explains Blue Vests Of PLN Directors To Prevent Prisoners' Orange Vests
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) explained the use of the "blue vest" to the board of directors and employees of PT PLN (Persero) during the technical guidance (bimtek) of the anti-corruption business at the PLN Headquarters, Jakarta.
Acting (Plt.) KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati Kuding said the use of the blue vest by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, was a symbol of commitment from all levels of PT PLN.
"In one of the sessions, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, assigned a blue vest to the representatives of the technical guidance participants. This attachment is a symbol of the commitment of PLN employees to consistently instill values of integrity in an effort to create an anti-corruption ecosystem within PLN," said Ipi, quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 2nd.
The Corruption Eradication Commission cooperates with PT PLN in implementing anti-corruption guidance for business actors, which is attended by employees of the central PLN and regional distribution units.
The vest has the tagline "Dare to be Honest, Great", which is juxtaposed with the PLN logo. The purpose of writing this sentence is as a means of anti-corruption campaign within PT PLN.
Ipi explained that the message was also a reminder for all PLN employees, as parties carrying out their duties, as well as the community, as the public receiving PLN services, to jointly reject bribes, gratuities, and anti-corruption behavior.
"The vest as a means of anti-corruption campaign is an initiative and procurement by PLN. Likewise, the blue color is PLN's choice and distinctive color," he said.
The KPK welcomes PT PLN's commitment because it is in line with the strategy promoted by the KPK in reducing the level of corruption in Indonesia.
Through the corruption eradication trident, he explained that the KPK relies on three strategic approaches, namely education, prevention and prosecution. The three approaches are carried out simultaneously, integrated with each other, and in collaboration with stakeholders and all elements of society.
"KPK hopes that the participants who have followed the technical guidance will then pass on the knowledge they have received, so that more and more people are internalized by the values of integrity until finally an anti-corruption culture is realized in society," he explained.
During a press conference related to the technical guidance activities, Nurul Ghufron pinned a blue vest to the President Director of PT PLN Darmawan Prasodjo.
"This vest is a symbol of our commitment. So, we have worked together for two years, we are intense, and in this process indeed in preventing corruption it can't be just one night, but this is continuous work. For that, this vest is a symbol for us," said Darmawan.
Darmawan said the symbol of wearing the blue vest was the first time the KPK had introduced it to the business world.
"So, this is a good start where the long journey to fight corruption will go even better. For that, we thank you," he added.
Meanwhile, Ghufron hopes that the collaboration between the KPK and PLN will not stop during the technical guidance.
"We hope that this collaboration will not stop at the time of putting on the anti-corruption vest; because if there is a release or a press conference (press conference) with an orange vest on, it's scary. We'd better wear the orange vest. That's the important thing. like a raincoat, a raincoat made of an orange vest," said Ghufron.
