Ahead Of Changing Costumes, Paul Pogba Sends A Touching Message To Manchester United

JAKARTA - Midfielder Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United as his contract expires on 30 June. Ahead of his departure, Pogba revealed a touching message.

In a post on Twitter, the French midfielder said playing for the Red Devils was an honor he had ever received.

"I'm honored to play for this club," Pogba said in a tweet.

Pogba also reminisced about his time at Old Trafford as well as advised the fans to continue to support the Red Devils who are now led by Erik Ten Hag.

“Many good moments and memories but the most important is the unconditional support from the fans. Thanks @ManUtd," Pogba continued.

At Manchester United, Pogba has actually experienced two different periods. He started his career as a Man Utd academy player since 2009 then broke into the first team in 2011.

However, Pogba decided to move to Juventus on a free transfer in 2012 due to the lack of playing opportunities.

With Juventus, Pogba's career skyrocketed and became the target of big clubs. In the midst of a flashy club glance, in fact Pogba chose to return to Manchester United in 2016 with the world's most expensive player.

That predicate was carried by Pogba because the Red Devils recruited him for a transfer value of 105 million euros or the equivalent of Rp. 2.3 billion. Pogba's return to Manchester United immediately became an important part for the club in winning the Europa League title in his first season.

However, Pogba was unable to maintain consistency on the field. On several occasions, Pogba has even sat on the bench even though Manchester United have experienced multiple coaches.

Man Utd and Pogba finally agreed not to continue the contract at the end of this June. With Pogba counting down the days to say farewell, Juventus are reported to have made an approach to return Pogba to Turin for free for the second time.
