Deputy Regent Asks Karawang Residents Not To Defecate In Gardens Or Rivers
KARAWANG - Residents of Karawang are asked to leave the culture of defecating or defecating in open spaces to improve health.
Deputy Regent of Karawang Aep Syaepuloh asked his residents to adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle.
"We all have to live clean and healthy by leaving the habit of defecating in the garden or in the river," he said in Karawang, West Java, Thursday 2 May.
He admitted that until now there are still many residents in a number of areas around Karawang who still have the habit of open defecation.
In the future, it will pay attention to this by cooperating with a third party.
The Vice Regent asked the companies in Karawang to be more concerned in helping to improve public health, including by building MCK (bathing, washing, toilet) in realizing CSR programs or corporate social responsibility.
"We ask that the company help improve public health, through a clean and healthy lifestyle, namely by distributing CSR programs by helping MCK," he said, as reported by Antara.
He also asked the local Health Office to educate the public about the importance of implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle. So that when the MCK is built, it can be used by the community.
"Education is needed. The goal is to eliminate people's habit of open defecation. So don't let the toilets have been built, but the habit of open defecation is still inherent in the community," said Aep Syaepuloh.
