COVID-19 Update As Of June 1st: 368 New Cases, 3 Deaths
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 57,579 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 368 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,055,341 people and active cases have increased by 368 to 3,141 cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Wednesday, June 1.
Today's recovered cases increased by 183 people, bringing the total to 5,895,606 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 3 cases and totaled 156,594 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 164 cases and a total of 1,250,880 cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta which has 43 new cases with a total of 220,754 cases. West Java has 42 new cases and a total of 1,106,683 cases. Banten has 30 new cases and a total of 293,214 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 79 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 34 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 22 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 20 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 98,796,457. "Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.51 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 2,445 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently there are 200,327,825 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,507,245 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 45,934,944. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
