Bring Molotov Bombs And Miras Protesters To Reject The Job Creation Law In Surabaya Secured

JAKARTA - A total of 169 protesters rejecting the Work Creation Law in Surabya were arrested by the police because someone was carrying Molotov cocktails and was suspected of causing trouble during the action.

"They were secured because someone was carrying Molotov cocktails, spray paint for vandalism and liquor. Now the Surabaya Police and East Java Regional Police have handled them. The total number of all is 169 people," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko when confirmed by reporters in Surabaya, reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 20.

The secured mass was then taken to the police headquarters and an investigation would be carried out to investigate the motives of the hundreds of people.

"This is still a deepening process. Wait for how investigators work, both in the General Criminal Investigation Directorate, the Narcotics Research Directorate, the East Java Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate and the Surabaya Police," he said.

Regarding the identities of the hundreds of people who were arrested as students, Trunoyudo said they would still carry out further classifications.

"Because it is still in process, then investigators are deepening the investigation. At a demonstration a few days ago 14 suspects were secured," he said.

Meanwhile, the middle-ranking Police officer emphasized that the demonstration against the Job Creation Law in front of the Grahadi State Building was running well.

Apart from that, the demonstrators also channeled their aspirations well.

"So far the situation is safe and conducive. What is the aspiration is of course according to the rules and we are guarding it," said Truno, his familiar nickname.

There were 4,147 joint security personnel deployed to guard the demonstration against the Job Creation Law, consisting of the Police, the TNI, the fire department and Satpol PP.
