1.5 Kg Super Quality Sabu Courier In West Java Threatens The Death Penalty

JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police's Narcotics Research Directorate has arrested two methamphetamine couriers with the initials SA and C who are suspected of trying to distribute prohibited goods of super quality.

Director of the West Java Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Commission, Kombes Rudy Ahmad Sudrajat, said the couriers were suspected of wanting to disperse by way of patching. From the hands of the perpetrators, he said, 1.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated.

"We found 1.5 kilograms of evidence there, the shabu-shabu is super gold, the most expensive, and the packaging is different," said Rudy at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 20.

The arrests, said Rudy, were made after the police conducted an investigation into the alleged spread of crystal methamphetamine. The two couriers were arrested at two different places.

For SA, he said, he was arrested in Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency. As for C, he was arrested in Sukajadi District, Bandung City.

According to Rudy, the two suspects did not know each other. However, they have one boss in common, namely Nono, who is now on the People Wanted List (DPO).

"The suspects received orders from the suspect on behalf of Nono who is still a DPO, in Tanjung Priok by telephone. Then, he was ordered to take the shabu-shabu patches in the Ciawi area," he said.

For their actions, the perpetrators were charged under Article 114 Paragraph 2 and / or Article 112 Paragraph 2 and or Article 111 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics. The perpetrators face the harshest punishment, namely the death penalty or life imprisonment.
