Mothers In Bima Cover Neighbor's Children's Faces With Chili Water, Police Are Still Investigating

MATARAM - Bima City Police Chief, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) AKBP Henry Novika Chandra sent a team from the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) to investigate cases of alleged child abuse in the West Rasanae area.

"Our PPA Unit Team has been dispatched to follow up on reports from the victim's parents," said Henry, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 31.

In the report, the 11-year-old victim received unfair treatment from the alleged perpetrator who was a housewife.

The alleged perpetrator, who still lives in the same neighborhood as the victim, allegedly smeared the victim's face with chili water.

Regarding the motive for this persecution, Henry emphasized that his party is still investigating by asking for statements from witnesses and victims.

"What is clear is that we are taking this report seriously according to legal procedures," he said.

The police have carried out a series of investigations since Monday (30/5) night, shortly after the report came in, namely by going down to the location of the victim's residence.

"Trust us to handle and resolve according to the applicable law," he said.
