LGBT Cases In The National Police, Brigadier General E Has Been Investigated And Sanctioned
JAKARTA - The National Police's Professional and Security Division (Propam) has examined and sanctioned Brigadier General E who is suspected of being involved in deviating from the Lesbi, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) groups.
Assistant to the Chief of Police for Human Resources (As HR), Inspector General Sutrisno Yudi Hermawan, said that the assistance to Brigadier General E had been given at the end of 2019.
"That goes to Propam. The law enforcement process is already in process," Yudi Hermawan told reporters, Tuesday, October 20.
However, Yudi could not give details about the sanctions given. It's just that, he said, this case has been handled by Propam.
Previously, Police Public Relations Division Karo Penmas, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, emphasized that his party will take firm action against members who are proven to be involved in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) groups.
"If this happens, of course the National Police will act decisively," said Awi some time ago.
Firm crackdown on members of the National Police regarding LGBT based on the Chief of Police Regulation Number 14 of 2011 concerning the Police Professional Code of Ethics.
In Article 11 letter C, the remedy states that every member of the National Police is obliged to obey and respect the norms of decency, religious norms, values, local wisdom norms and legal norms.
"Because there are already legal regulations for those who violate the code of ethics, of course, is waiting," he said.
The issue of LGBT within the TNI and Polri evaporated after the Head of the Military Chamber of the Supreme Court (MA) Major General Purnawirawan Burhan Dahlan conveyed about the existence of LGBT groups in the TNI-Polri environment.
