One Year Running, Drug Dealers In Riau Circulate Shabu In The South Tangerang Region

SOUTH TANGERANG - South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Sarly Sollu revealed the circulation of crystal methamphetamine weighing 6.3 kilograms (kg) with a value of IDR 9.3 billion.

"Evidence of narcotics type methamphetamine weighing 6,330.49 grams. Equivalent to IDR 9,330,000,000", Sarly told reporters at the South Tangerang Police, Monday, May 30.

The Head of the Narcotics Unit at the South Tangerang Police, AKP Amantha Wijaya Kusuma, explained that the plan is for the methamphetamine, which is wrapped in Chinese tea, to be distributed from Tangerang to DKI Jakarta.

"Saving about 30 million lives if the goods are circulated in the community. (This drug) is wrapped in Chinese tea. This is a big network", he said.

On the occasion, Amantha said that the two perpetrators were drug dealers from Riau. They have been in action for up to a year.

"That's why we said earlier that this is a development of our previous arrests and disclosures", he said.

"We say this is a large network because of the results of our investigation", he added.

Police also arrested two people suspected of being drug dealers of methamphetamine. The perpetrators with the initials MF and MOF were arrested in the Pekanbaru area, Riau, Tuesday, May 24, early in the morning.
