President Jokowi At The Bogor Palace, Student: We Want To Meet

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) Alif insinuated President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who was actually at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java when they took action against the Omnibus Law on Cipta Kerja.

"We want to meet Jokowi, let him issue the Perppu. But, the President is in Bogor, friends," said Alif while giving speeches on the command car at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue area, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, October 20.

In fact, said Alif, the arrival of BEM SI wanted to meet with President Jokowi to convey their aspirations. Namely asking President Jokowi to issue a Perppu on the Job Creation Law.

Alif then quipped Jokowi who was reluctant to meet the people and preferred to be at the Bogor Palace rather than meeting students who took action in the hot sun.

He said that President Jokowi chose comfort because he went to the Bogor Palace. Because, there are no demonstrations and the weather is cold.

"He is lazy in mind, ah, he is hot with the students. It is better in Bogor to be cold. The palace in front of us is empty, my friend," he said, greeted by calls from other student action participants.
