Visit Amazon Studios, Erick Thohir Discusses The Potential Of Indonesia's Creative Industries
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir during his visit to the United States (US) took the time to stop by the Amazon Studios office. In his meeting with the Amazon Studios team, Erick discussed the potential of Indonesia's creative industry.
"Take the opportunity to discuss with the Amazon Studios team to develop the potential of Indonesia's creative industry to a higher class," Erick wrote, quoted Monday, May 30.

In the photo uploaded by Erick, wearing black semi-formal clothes while talking with Albert Cheng (COO of Amazon Studios), Jason Mclvor (Global Director of Prime Video), Tong Leamer (Head Global Partner of MKG), and Nashon Davidai (Global Director of BD & MKG) . Former Menparekraf Wishnutama also accompanied Erick Thohir in the meeting.
"It's really productive to be able to discuss with great people. They present extraordinary innovations, which can revolutionize the film industry," he explained.
Erick also took the time to visit Culver Studios, which was built in 1918. According to him, the Culver Studios building is still standing strong today.
"This studio was used to produce classic Hollywood films. It is now the home base for Amazon Studios," he said.
Furthermore, Erick said that to bring Indonesia's creative industry to the world, it must be supported by breakthroughs and innovations from young Indonesians.
"Creative children of the nation need breakthroughs and innovations to bring Indonesia's creative industry to a world class," he said.
