Ahead Of G20, Sandiaga Uno Reminds Of Public Speaking Ability To Tourism And Creative Economy Business Actors
JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy / Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf / Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno encourages tourism and creative economy actors in Belitung Regency to increase capacity, especially public speaking skills in welcoming the implementation of the "Development Working Group (DWG) G20" in Belitung in September 2022.
Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno during the "MSME Empowerment Training" activity which took place in Kampong Dedaun, Belitung, said capacity building was not only for product quality but also soft skills from tourism actors and the creative economy itself. One of them is the ability to communicate (communication skills). "I convey some tips that tourism and creative economy business actors can do, one of which is soft public speaking skills. Also dare to take risks accompanied by the 4AS work ethic, namely hard work, smart work, thorough work, and sincere work," he said. Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno in his statement, Monday, May 30.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the tourism sector and the creative economy. But behind that, there are many business opportunities that can be presented through innovation, adaptation, and collaboration. Presenting superior products typical of Belitung such as culinary products, crafts, and fashion.
"Besides the G20, there are many events that will be held in Belitung, such as in October 2022 there will be the Tour de Belitung. Certainly many will participate, therefore our creative economy products must be ready," he said.
With quality creative economic products, they will support each other with Belitung tourism which is already famous for its natural and cultural beauty.
"As for tourist destinations, (Belitung) this is the best destination, there is no destination for sports-based and sustainable tourism that can match Belitung," said Menparekraf Sandiaga.
Kemenparekraf said Menparekraf Sandiaga would go all out to support the development of tourism and the creative economy with other ministries/agencies and parties.
"Belitung really has very strong characteristics, therefore the natural beauty that supports it must also be supported by qualified human resources so that we can rise up and open up business opportunities and employment opportunities," said Menparekraf Sandiaga.
