Good News For The Golden State Warriors Ahead Of The NBA Finals Against The Boston Celtics
JAKARTA - The Golden State Warriors get good news ahead of the NBA final against the Boston Celtics, June 2. Three players who previously struggled with injuries, their condition gradually improved.
One such player is Gary Payton II. The player is expected to be able to appear in a series of final matches after the injury he suffered from a broken elbow recovered.
Payton has been out of action since Game 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies. At that time, he fell hit by Dillon Brooks. However, four weeks of recovery is enough to make the 29-year-old player fit again.
Two other players whose condition is gradually improving are Andre Iguodala and Otto Porter Jr. Both experienced positive developments from the injuries they suffered to be able to return to the NBA Finals series.
Iguodala is out of 12 straight games with a neck injury, while Porter missed the last two games of the Western Finals against the Dallas Mavericks with left leg pain.
The two players have also returned to join the team's training session. The Warriors coach team certainly hopes the results of the condition review will allow them to appear in the NBA Finals later.
"That's what we're aiming for, but we'll certainly get a better estimate after the training sessions over the next few days," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said.
The Warriors get a two-day break before returning to training on Sunday, May 29.
This will be the Warriors' sixth NBA Finals in eight years, bringing them to par with the Celtics in the 1950s and 1960s, the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s, and the Chicago Bulls in the mid-1990s.
