Energy And Food Prices Rise, Observers Ask People To Live Efficiently And To Save Money
JAKARTA - Academic from Jenderal Sudirman University (Unsoed) Dr. Rio Dhani Laksana said that people need to be frugal and save and prioritize productive spending on a priority scale. In fact, this way of living frugally and likes to save needs to be applied by everyone in any condition.
"People really need to be frugal and save as one of the sensitivities in response to rising energy and food prices in the world," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 29.
Rio Dhani, who is the Head of the Investment Gallery of the Unsoed Faculty of Economics and Business, added that by living frugally, every daily need can be fulfilled properly. Not only that, saving money will make it easier to set aside money for savings.
Savings money that has been successfully set aside, he added, can be used as a reserve fund if at any time you have to incur unexpected expenses.
"The availability of cash or savings is very important, especially in the current pandemic conditions, even after the COVID-19 pandemic, this is very important and needs to be paid attention to by all parties," he said.

According to the lecturer at the Unsoed Faculty of Economics and Business, in the current economic situation, there are still risks or unexpected events that have the potential to occur in the community.
"Therefore, to increase sensitivity in the midst of economic conditions that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and to increase the sense of crisis, frugality and saving are very important considering that at this time there is still the potential for turmoil in the economic situation influenced by the global political situation," he said.
This sensitivity, he added, is needed so that each individual has a good plan and has a good scenario in dealing with uncertain situations.
"Individual sensitivity is needed in the midst of the government's ongoing efforts to encourage economic recovery, protect people's purchasing power and maintain fiscal policy," he said.
