I'm Well! 8 Passengers Of KM Ladang Pertiwi 2 Who Drowned In Makassar Strait Successfully Rescued By Fishermen
MAKASSAR - As many as eight victims of KM Ladang Pertiwi 2 which sank in the Makassar Strait were again found by fishing boats. They were immediately taken to Monitoring Island, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi.
"I received news from the WA (WhatsUpp) video that there was a ship (he said) that a ship that was taken from the sea was immediately brought to the island. The people on the ship heard people screaming at sea," said the victim's family, Bambang Harianto after reporting to the DVI Polda Post. South Sulawesi, at the Paotere People's Port, Makassar, Antara, Sunday, May 29.
When the victim was found at sea, the fishing boat immediately took all the victims to Monitoring Island. Upon arrival, a number of people on the island immediately helped with the evacuation.
"Residents there immediately took it down. There were eight people, all families, mamak, uncle (uncle), all families," said Bambang stammering.
He was very grateful to have received news that his family survived the disaster. For this reason, Bambang immediately reported the discovery of the victim to the South Sulawesi Police DVI post for the identification process.
When asked what the purpose of his family was to go to Makassar, this young man said, buying basic needs, as well as selling goods to be sold on the island where they live.
"Buying goods, for business, selling basic daily needs on Pamantauan Island. There were 42 people who left (by boat) to Makassar," he said.
With the discovery of these eight people, temporary data for survivors was recorded at 25 people. A total of 17 people were previously rescued by three tagboats on Friday at around 03.30 WITA.
Previously, KM Ladang Pertiwi 02, which carried it departed from Paotera People's Harbor last Wednesday. This ship will go to several islands, namely Monitoring Island, Masalima Island, Salirian Island, Pamalikan Island.
The ship reportedly sank on Thursday at around 03.30 WITA in the Makassar strait, and only learned from information on Friday, May 26 at 13.00 WITA.
The South Sulawesi Basarnas, South Sulawesi Regional Police DVI have established a main command post. A total of 17 people are reported to have survived while 25 people are still being sought. From the temporary data entered at the Basarnas Main Post from several sources, it was recorded that there were 60 passengers on the ship.
