COVID-19 Update As Of May 29: 2,952 Active Cases Remaining

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 47,560 specimens were examined with the results of 242 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,054,415 and active cases have fallen by 20 to 2,952 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, May 29.

The number of recovered patients today increased by 261, bringing the total to 5,894,889 recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 1 died and a total of 156,574 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 89 cases and a total of 1,250,503 cases. Followed by West Java with 48 new cases with a total of 1,106,547 cases. Banten has 29 new cases and a total of 293,106 cases. Then, Central Java with 18 new cases and a total of 627,595 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 100 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 50 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 41 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 23 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 98,592,166.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.51 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 1,815 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 200,198,188 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,325,130 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 45,395,995. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
