Google Launches Improved Screen Magnification, Alexander Kuscher: To Adjust Your Preferences On Chromebooks
JAKARTA - A few days ago, Alexander Kuscher, Director of Chrome OS Software announced via Google's blog, that they are rolling out an improved screen magnification feature.
"We're zooming in on your feedback and rolling out zoom adjustments on Chromebooks," said Kuscher.
Currently, the anchored magnifying glass feature makes the screen split. At the bottom is your standard screen, and the top is an enlarged version of the screen.
This feature enhancement is especially helpful if you are visually impaired and you want to enlarge only part of the screen to make it clearer.
"With our new update, you can control the size of the enlarged portion of the screen."
You can make it bigger if you want to see more enlarged content. Or you can view it smaller if you want to see more of the standard screen.
You can customize it to suit your own preferences, or customize it based on the content you see.
"Recently, we've also updated the panning experience. With continuous panning, as you move the cursor, the rest of the screen follows it," he said.
And if it's more convenient, you can also use the keyboard to control panning by pressing ctrl + alt + arrow keys.
