One Year Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin Served, The COVID-19 Pandemic Affects Various Government Plans

JAKARTA - Today, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin have served for a year. The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) released an annual report on Jokowi-Ma'ruf's performance.

"This report provides an opportunity for all stakeholders who want to get a more complete perspective on government programs derived from the president's vision and mission," the KSP official website was quoted as saying by VOI, Tuesday, October 20.

In the introduction to the report, it is stated that the current COVID-19 pandemic has affected many things in the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has also influenced various plans and programs," he said.

However, until now, the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government is still trying to keep their promises.

"The president has never neglected his promise. Although the rate of economic growth has stalled, the president still holds the vision of realizing five strategic directions towards an independent, advanced, just and prosperous Indonesian society," the site wrote.

"Refocusing and reallocating the budget prioritize programs and handling in the health, social and economic recovery, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives," he added.

Furthermore, through this statement, the KSP emphasized that the five development directions previously planned by the president would remain as pillars of Indonesia's 2045 vision to ensure Indonesia becomes a developed country.

It is known that Jokowi was inaugurated as President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2019-2024 on October 20, 2019. This is Jokowi's second term as head of state.

When addressing the MPR after he was inaugurated, there were at least five achievements that would be carried out maximally by him, namely the development of superior human resources, infrastructure development, simplification of regulations, simplification of regulations, simplification of the bureaucracy, and acceleration of economic transformation.
