West Kalimantan Police: Palm Oil Thief DPO Shot For Trying To Seize Police Weapon

PONTIANAK - The Head of Public Relations of the West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) Police, Kombes Jansen A Panjaitan emphasized that the police took strict action against residents suspected of stealing palm oil because the perpetrators tried to seize firearms from Brimob members.

"There was even a member of the BKO Brimob Polda West Kalimantan who was hit on the left side of the head on behalf of Brigadier Sandy Biantoro for further post-mortem," said Jansen Panjaitan, quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 28.

He explained that Brimob members took steps to enforce the law because residents were trying to seize weapons from members who were carrying out their duties.

The perpetrators who were hit by the empty bullets were Ji'i, and Suharjo, DPO alias Ketapang Police fugitive for the theft case.

"Members have appealed to unscrupulous residents not to harvest in the company's plantation areas and asked Ji'i to surrender," said Jansen.
