One More Case Of COVID-19 In Batam, Heal Rate Reaches 97 Percent

BATAM - The Batam City COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Riau Islands, recorded the recovery rate of corona virus sufferers in the area reached 97.040 percent.

"The cure rate is more than 97 percent, the death rate is 2.954 percent, and the active case rate is 0.006 percent," said the Task Force in a report forwarded by Spokesman Azril Apriansyah, quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 28.

In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 30,975 people have been confirmed to be COVID-19, 30,058 of whom have completed isolation, 915 have died, and two are active cases.

Today, one additional active case of COVID-19 was recorded, then none completed isolation, and no deaths.

The remaining two active cases are a resident of the Sei Beduk sub-district and the Batam Kota sub-district, while for the other sub-districts there are no active cases.

In the Task Force report, it is stated that the results of the assessment of the COVID-19 situation as of May 25, 2022 are level one.

Community transmission received a level one assessment with a confirmation case of 0.12 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, hospitalization rates of 0.06 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, and a death rate of 0.00 per 100,000 inhabitants per week.

Then the response capacity is considered adequate. In terms of testing, the positivity rate is 0.05 percent per week, tracking is considered adequate with a close contact ratio examined of 17.75 per confirmed case per week, and treatment is adequate with 0.78 percent BOR per week.

While vaccination was considered adequate, reaching 103.11 percent of target residents who received complete vaccinations, and 78.08 percent for complete vaccinations for the elderly.
