Zero Cases In The Last Week, COVID-19 Patient In Babylon Now Only One Left

PANGKALPINANG - Secretary of the COVID-19 Task Force for the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Mikron Antariksa, said that there had been no additional cases in the past week.

"Alhamdulillah, in the last week or so, we have no cases of COVID-19, so Babel is already in the Level 1 category of PPKM COVID-19," said Mikron in Pangkalpinang, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 28.

He revealed, there are six regencies/cities with no COVID-19 patient status. Among them are Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Regency, Central Bangka, South Bangka, Belitung and East Belitung.

"Today there is only one COVID-19 patient in West Bangka," he said.

According to him, although the case of COVID-19 transmission has decreased, his party continues to make various efforts to suppress and prevent the spike in COVID-19 cases again. Supervision and socialization of the implementation of health protocols are still carried out and optimization of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Mikron said, maximizing mass vaccination is very important to increase people's immunity from the virus.

Therefore, residents who have not received a complete COVID-19 vaccination are asked to immediately visit the vaccination facilities provided by the government.

"Alhamdulillah, the public's interest in participating in this vaccination is high enough that it has resulted in a drastic decrease in cases in the last two months," he said.
