JAKARTA - This year the IICD again gives awards to issuers who have implemented good corporate governance (GCG) practices in the previous year and are not related to serious cases that conflict with GCG principles at the event “The 13th IICD Corporate Governance Awards. ".
Giving appreciation to issuers with best CG practices (BigCap & MidCap) is divided into 10 categories, namely: Best CG Overall, Best Financial Sector, Best Non-Financial Sector, Best SOE/BUMN, Best Right of Shareholders, Best Equitable Treatment of Shareholders , Best Role of Stakeholders, Best Disclosure & Transparency, Best Responsibility of the Boards, Most Improved, which was announced at the peak of the awards ceremony Friday, May 27 at the Ball Room Financial Hall, 2nd Floor, Jakarta.
The assessment was carried out on 200 issuers with the largest and medium market capitalization listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, where in conducting the assessment the IICD divided into 2 groups, namely 100 issuers with the largest market capitalization (Big Cap) and 100 issuers with medium market capitalization (MidCap). ), supported by 10 assessors.
The use of the assessment method is based on the Asean CG Scorecard. The results of the assessment of these 200 issuers were presented by Dr. James Simanjuntak after the opening of “The 13th IICD Corporate Governance Awards” today.
Sigit Pramono, Chairman of IICD and IIPG delivered his remarks at the IICD CG Awards.
"To top it off today, we announced and awarded 50 BigCap issuers and 50 MidCap issuers who previously announced the Top 50 companies with good governance practices for both groups," he explained.
In the IICD CG Awards event which was held offline, the former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Boediono, was also present who delivered closing remarks before the announcements were read out in each category in both BigCap and MidCap.
The IICD CG Awards event was held by implementing standard health protocols in accordance with government recommendations, where the committee and all invited guests who attended today's event, kept their distance, wore masks and had provided hand sanitizers in several places.
