KSAL: AAL Cadets Must Continue To Study To Become Professional Officers

JAKARTA - The Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono reminded the Naval Academy Cadets (AAL) to carry out their obligations by continuing to study for four years in order to become professional officers.

According to Yudo, AAL cadets need to constantly learn because the challenges or taskloads of officers in the future will be more difficult, complex, and dynamic.

That way, AAL alumni must have a strong character and have the ability to lead as well as competence as professional soldiers.

"There is nothing difficult here because you have been tested, starting from physical, mental, and psychological. You have done everything and you are definitely capable," said KSAL when giving a briefing to AAL cadets at the AAL Kesatrian Indoor Sport, Surabaya, East Java quoted by Antara, Friday, May 27.

In addition, according to Yudo, in the future the Navy will become a beacon where the country will need their presence because 70 percent of Indonesia's territory is the sea so many parties are interested and want to cooperate.

In front of the future TNI AL leaders, KSAL said AAL cadets were tasked with continuing the regeneration of the Navy.

"Later on, you (the AAL cadets) will continue the organization and this cannot go down, but must move on. How to do it depends on you because you are the bodyguard," he said.

With this big task, according to KSAL, the cadets must have a steel mind to be able to bring the Indonesian Navy to compete with other countries, maintain state sovereignty, and enforce the law in Indonesian waters.

"So, be proud of you as Navy officers," added Yudo.
