Cirebon Police Chief Promises To Deploy All Members To Fight Motorcycle Gangs
CIREBON - The Cirebon City Police (Polresta), West Java, mobilized all its members to eradicate motorcycle gangs so that this area is free from their violent actions that disturb residents.
"We continue to sweep motorcycle gangs directly into their nests and locations where they often gather," said Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Arif Budiman, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 27.
He said eradicating motorcycle gangs was a commitment from the Cirebon Police in providing security guarantees to the community.
For this reason, it is certain that all police in the Cirebon Police ranks will continue to visit every sub-district, especially those suspected of being the headquarters of motorcycle gangs that often disrupt security and order in Cirebon Regency.
"We will not hesitate to take firm and harsh action against motorcycle gangs who interfere with security and social order in Cirebon Regency," he said.
According to him, eradicating motorcycle gangs is in accordance with the direction of the West Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Suntana in the context of the 2022 Libas Lodaya Operation in the Cirebon Police jurisdiction with the main target being motorcycle gangs.
Especially, he said, motorcycle gangs who often disturb the conduciveness and disturb the public. He emphasized that there is no place for motorcycle gangs to interfere with security and social order in Cirebon Regency.
"We are not only targeting motorcycle gangs who carry out convoys, but those who are staying at the headquarters will be brushed off. We are actively and responsively targeting from one sub-district to another to eradicate motorcycle gangs in Cirebon Regency," he said.
