South Sulawesi Again Allocates IDR 45 Billion To Complete The 99 Dome Makassar Mosque

MAKASSAR - The Provincial Government of South Sulawesi has again allocated a budget of Rp. 45 billion to continue and complete the construction of the 99 Dome Mosque of Asmaul Husna, which is located in the CPI area, Makassar.

The Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said that this advanced construction was starting to enter the stage of physical work in the field.

"Alhamdulillah, the Rp 45 billion PAGU allocation for 2022 is for the continued construction of the 99 Asmaul Husna Dome Mosque. Now the physical progress of construction at the site is starting," he said in Makassar as reported by Antara, Friday, May 27.

There is also work this year in the form of dome work, circular roads, towers and the installation of buis in order to fulfill the number of domes as many as 99 units.

Even though it is in the advanced stage of construction, worship activities for Muslims at the mosque will continue as usual.

"God willing, the team can ensure that construction activities do not interfere with worship activities in the mosque. Hopefully in the future more Islamic syiar activities can be carried out," he said.

The continuation of the construction is planned to be the completion of the mosque which has become a new icon for South Sulawesi. Given the unique shape of the Muslim house of worship, this iconic building will later become a place of recreation for religious tourism.

Of course, this is a manifestation of the attention of the Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman in continuing the development which had previously been stalled.
