MAKASSAR - Head of the South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Provincial Government Education Office Muhammad Jufri submitted an investigation into the case of a high school student in Gowa Regency who committed suicide. This student is called the police once complained about the large number of online assignments.
"We have visited the funeral home. All relevant stakeholders, both from the Education Office and the main school, coordinate with the Gowa Police. Currently the police will carry out identification and tracing, and a more in-depth investigation to confirm all this, ”said Jufri when contacted by VOI, Monday, October 19.
"So now we entrust it to the police to carry out an investigation, we are patient waiting for the results. They will be conveyed in the press release on Friday," he continued.
In addition, Kadisdik Sulsel has also asked the principal to coordinate with teachers. Disdik urges teachers to design fun learning patterns during distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"What we always urge to school principals and teachers is to design learning in a fun pattern, not to burden students. So the information I mean while hearing this is that they accept the module and submit the results in once every two weeks. So it's very flexible, "said Jufri.
Previously, Kasat Reskrim Gowa Police AKP Jufri Natsir said this case took place on Saturday, October 17 in Bonto Te'ne Hamlet, Bilalang Village, Gowa.

"Then Daeng Ngasi entered the house to see him and found the victim in a state of death under the bed and spitting foam in his mouth," he said.
From the family's statement to the police, M often complained about the large amount of school work.
"The victim often complains to his schoolmates about the difficulty of accessing the internet at his residence, which causes piles of online assignments," said Jufri.
"I always dream of being bathed like someone who dies and I told my friends that I would die on Saturday or Sunday," he continued.
