For The Sake Of Marriage Capital, Youth In Bali Are Desperate To Steal Dozens Of Rifles, Partner In Crime Hangs Himself
BULELENG - Umaro alias Marok (25) was arrested by the Sukasada Police, Buleleng, Bali, for stealing 23 air rifles at the Lubdaka Shop. The perpetrators were desperate to commit theft because they needed money to get married.
"The motive is for marriage," said Head of Public Relations of the Buleleng Police, AKP Gede Sumarjaya, Friday, May 27.
The shop owner previously reported the loss of 23 air rifles. There are various brands of air rifles that are missing from Sangatha, FX Frow, APC, Ruger, TSC to Predator.
"For this incident, the victim claimed to have suffered a loss of approximately Rp. 105,000,000," said Sumarjaya.
From the victim's report, the police arrested the perpetrator of the theft on May 1 in Buleleng.
From the results of the examination, Marok admitted to stealing an air rifle and fishing rod with Agus Manaf. Meanwhile, Agus Manaf has died by hanging himself.
"In carrying out the action of taking goods, they have their respective roles. The perpetrators of Marok are in charge of using a motorbike carrying Agus Manaf to the TKP and arriving in front of the shop, Agus Manaf gets off the motorbike. Meanwhile, Marok waits in front of Bung Karno Park to see the situation, if successful then Agus Manaf will call Marok," he said.
After Agus Manaf managed to steal the air rifle, the suspect Marok picked him up. The stolen goods were taken to Agus Manaf's house.
"After successfully placing the items in Agus Manaf's house, they returned to the TKP and took a bundle of air rifles totaling approximately 10 and brought them back to Agus Manaf's house," said Sumarjaya.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 363 Paragraph (1) 4 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.
