Feels Odd, Marc Marquez Doesn't Set A High Target For The Italian MotoGP At The Mugello Circuit
JAKARTA - The 2022 MotoGP race will continue at the Mugello Circuit, Italy, this weekend. In this race, the Repsol Honda champion, Marc Marquez, did not set a high target.
"Mugello has always been a great circuit to ride, very fast, when you ride a MotoGP bike, it's a great feeling but you can't predict what the final (result) will be," said Marquez, quoted from the official Honda Racing website.
This felt odd because it was not Marc Marquez's habit. Before consecutive injuries in the last two years, Marquez even always hoped to get a win, at least a podium.
However, if you look at its performance in the last few races, The Baby Alien's statement is understandable. He has not been able to adapt his racing style to the latest Honda RC213V motorcycle.
In addition, Marquez also has a poor record at Mugello. He has only won once, namely at the 2014 Italian MotoGP.
Last season, the Spaniard was unable to finish the race due to a fall. In eight times paving at the Mugello Circuit, he has not finished three times.
"We will see what happens this weekend, we have to arrive and see how the situation is and where we are," said Marquez. "I know by continuing to work with my team, with Honda, we can get back to where we know our potential," concluded Marc Marquez.
