Mobile Phone Pulling With Thieves, Two Teenage Boys In Duren Sawit Attacked With Sickles
JAKARTA – Two teenage boys became victims of violent gangsters in Duren Sawit. As a result of resisting, the victim's legs became pads of sickles. Suddenly the victim winced in pain holding the gaping wound.
The stabbing incident occurred on Jalan 26 Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. The robbery was also caught on CCTV cameras belonging to local residents.
In the video, it can be seen that two young local residents are playing with their cellphones in front of a closed shop. Not long after, two perpetrators came on a motorbike and stopped in front of the victim.
One of the perpetrators got off the motorbike while carrying a sickle in his right hand and threatened the victim while swinging a sickle.
However, the victim managed to resist so that the perpetrators failed to seize the two cellphones belonging to the victim.
"While playing a game on a cellphone, the perpetrator immediately grabbed the cellphone and took out a sickle," said Ata, Head of RT 09/05 to reporters, Wednesday, May 25.
Although he managed to defend his valuables, one of the victims received a wound in the leg due to a knife blade.
"According to the confession of one of the children (victims), his leg was hit by a sickle," said Ata.
"The victim was able to hold on to his cellphone, he was fighting over and his cellphone, Thank God, it didn't hit," he said.
It turned out that there were other factors that made him decide to run away even though he failed to seize the victim's cellphone. Ata explained that at the time of the incident there was a motorcycle rider behind who saw the incident. The perpetrator immediately fled.
"According to the victim's confession, because there was another vehicle behind him, the perpetrator panicked and fled," he said.
Ata regrets that there have been attempts at thievery in his area. In fact, according to Ata, the area is classified as safe because there are security officers who frequently patrol.
"This is the first time this has happened. In the past, Alhamdulillah, it was safe because there was environmental security," explained Ata.
"Maybe it happened because the perpetrator had brought a knife and had been spying on him before," added Ata.
The victim and the neighborhood administrator did not report the incident to the police.
