Slipping While Urinating On The Riverbank While Drinking Palm Wine, Grandpa In Medan Drowned
MEDAN - Grandpa Juned Nasution (60) was swept away by the current of the Denai River, Medan City. He was washed away because he slipped while urinating on the river bank.
Public Relations of the Medan SAR Office, Sariman Sitorus, explained that the search was carried out by combing along the Denai River to Percut Sei Tuan. The victim was found after searching for 3 days.
"The victim was found dead stuck in a fishing boat around Bagan Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency. The distance is about 15 km from the initial location where the victim was swept away," said Sariman, Wednesday, May 25.
Currently, he said, the bodies of the victims had been evacuated and taken to the funeral home for burial.
Sariman explained that the incident began when the victim and his colleagues were drinking tuak on the banks of the Denai River, near the PTKI Medan Campus, Monday, May 23.
"Then the victim was about to urinate on the river bank. But unfortunately the victim suddenly slipped and fell into the river," he explained.
The incident was witnessed by the victim's child. Then, the victim's child together with the surrounding community tried to find the victim.
"But the victim was never found until finally the victim's child reported the incident," said Sariman.
