Golkar Politician: 3 Years Of Leadership Anies Seen In Fixing Jakarta

JAKARTA - Jakarta Golkar Party senior politician Ashraf Ali stated that Governor Anies Baswedan has proven to be maximal in handling problems in Jakarta.

"Anies' 3 years of leadership has been seen in fixing Jakarta," said Ashraf in Jakarta, as reported by Antara , Monday, October 19.

According to him, the problem of flooding which scourges residents every year has been handled properly. This is evidenced by the location or point of flooding starting to decrease.

The handling of floods in DKI, said Ashraf, cannot be handled alone by Anies Baswedan. Floods in Jakarta are difficult to overcome while no improvements have been made in buffer cities, such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Bodetabek).

"If the floods are difficult to refuse, their names will also be sent. The solution is for Bodetabek to be fixed," said Ashraf, who is also Deputy Chairman of the Jakarta Golkar Provincial DPD.

Governor Anies with an intellectual background has a building style based on a concept, then works and moves.

Another problem, said Ashraf, was related to the widening of the sidewalks in Cikini and the Sudirman-Thamrin area, which received the spotlight at the beginning of development.

"The benefit is now being used by pedestrians. This method is to force people to walk. You can check if many office people walk in the morning and evening," said Ashraf.

Furthermore, improving public transportation in Jakarta has been carried out well. The completion of the MRT and the revamping of TransJakarta with Jak Linko, for example, are of great help to the community, drivers and transportation entrepreneurs.

"But it is not yet perfect, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic is currently underway. We'll just wait for 5 years of his leadership," said Ashraf.

He also mentioned one of the shortcomings that Anies Baswedan needed to fix, namely cooperatives to support the economy of the lower classes.

"Cooperatives are important to boost the economy of the lower class people, as well as fostering MSMEs that are not yet massive to the RT / RW level," said Ashraf.
