Capturing And Raping 16-year-old Girl For A Week, 2 Brothers In North Sumatra Arrested
MEDAN - Two brothers and sisters in Tebingtinggi City, North Sumatra, with the initials MIH (21) and IP (25) were arrested by the police. Both were arrested for recklessly raping and holding a 16-year-old girl for a week.
Head of Public Relations of the Tebing Tinggi Police, AKP Agus Arianto, said the victim had been held captive since Saturday, May 14 in a boarding room. The victim, he said, was a friend of the perpetrator.
AKP Agus explained that this case was revealed after the victim's mother, SNM (39) received a message from a friend of the victim IK (18), on Saturday, May 21, evening. He said he knew the position of the victim.
"Witness IK said, 'Bunk, Bunga has been away from home for a week? I got news from Bunga that she was at her friend's boarding house, she wanted to go home but was not given her out," said AKP Agus, imitating the witness' remarks, Tuesday, May 24.
To the victim's mother, IK then informed the location of the victim's detention. Then, the victim's parents and family immediately picked up the victim at the scene.
To her parents, the victim admitted that she had been raped and molested by the two perpetrators.
"At that time, the victim said to the reporter, 'These two are the ones that kept me from coming home, Mom'. Then the complainant asked the victim, 'What have you done with these two, son? he continued.
At that time, the victim's family immediately arrested the suspect IP. Meanwhile MIH runs away.
They then made a police report and also handed over the IP to the police.
"On Saturday, May 21 evening, the reporter together with the family of the reporter handed over the perpetrator to the Tebingtinggi Police for further questioning. Meanwhile, another perpetrator is still being sought by the police," he said.
Furthermore, the police immediately hunted down the perpetrators of MH. Not long ago, the perpetrators of MIH were arrested.
"According to information, MIH is the younger brother of the first perpetrator, namely IP who has been secured by officers," he explained.
"For his actions, the perpetrator is subject to Article 81 paragraph (2) Subs Article 82 paragraph (1) of the RI Law NO. 17 of 2016 concerning the Stipulation of the Republic of Indonesia's Perppu No. 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection," he said.
