Police Pay Special Attention To Formation Of Cross-Ministry Team To Investigate Land Mafia

JAKARTA - Polri supports and is ready to assist the inter-ministerial team formed by the government to eradicate the land mafia. In fact, special attention will be given to the process of eradicating such cases.

"Of course, this is the concern of the National Police leadership, in this case the Criminal Investigation Unit in carrying out matters related to the land mafia, especially if there is an order from the state leadership," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, May 24.

Especially in the Polri institution, Ramadhan said, there is already an anti-land mafia Task Force (Satgas) that oversees and takes action against violations of the law. Several cases have been disclosed. For example, the case that made Dino Patti Djalal and Nirina Zubir victims of the land mafia.

"Once again, the task force already exists and is always working in processing the problems of the land mafia in Indonesia," he said.

The Anti-Mafia Land Mafia Task Force formed by the National Police is still actively working. All reports from the public will be followed up.

"Receiving the report, of course, hearing the information that we need to follow up, we work with this task force with other stakeholders," said Ramadhan.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD promised to solve the land mafia problem, one of which was by forming a cross-ministerial team and non-ministerial government agencies (K/L), including the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"We will also solve the mafias and we have agreed to immediately form a cross-ministerial and institutional team, including the KPK, to carry out procedures and carry out an assessment of all of this. I will follow up," said Mahfud at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, as reported by Antara. , Monday, May 23.

He guaranteed that the government and law enforcement officers would take firm action against anyone involved in the land mafia crime. Moreover, there are many cases of land mafias that rob people of their rights and state land.

"People never sell their land suddenly it is already owned by someone else. When asked, they are asked to sue to the court; when in court, they are defeated. That's a lot (happened, ed)," he said.
