Jokowi's Response Gives Code To Support Ganjar, Head Of Bappilu PDIP: It's Clear Why Nominations Are Determined By Political Parties
JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDIP Election Winning Body (Bappilu), Bambang Wuryanto, responded to President Joko Widodo's statement asking Projo volunteers to "Ojo milk" or not to rush in supporting the presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
According to the man who is familiarly called Bambang Pacul, the question of which figure will be promoted to become a presidential or vice presidential candidate will clearly be determined by a political party.
"It's clear why the nominations were made by political parties, right? Well, we'll see on the way anyway," said Bambang Pacul at the DPR building, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 24.
Regarding Jokowi's statement, which is considered by many to be a code of support for the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, Bambang refused to comment.
As the party's election winning body, Bambang emphasized that he would explain the matter next week. For the time being, he did not want to comment.
"So today it's like this, I will have no comment first, no comment first. But I promise that next week I will answer. But today no comment first," said Bambang.
Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that Jokowi only emphasized that the consideration for the 2024 presidential election was not yet a priority for the president so there was no need to rush.
"What President Jokowi said emphasized that in relation to the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, many aspects must be considered, including: First, look at the situational context of the nation and state. Currently, the main focus is on racing to overcome the impact of the pandemic and global uncertainty. that must come first," said Hasto, Monday, May 24.
