Miss Indonesia Finalists Visit KPK, Ready To Work Together To Fight Corruption

JAKARTA - A total of 45 Miss Indonesia finalists visited the KPK's Red and White Building on Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Tuesday, May 24.

After receiving briefing from KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar and her staff, they admitted that they were ready to work together to eradicate corruption with the anti-corruption commission.

"The hope is that directly with the KPK, of course later we can continue to work together," said Puteri Indonesia 2020 Roro Ayu Maulida Putri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 24.

"Not only here, not only as long as we serve as Miss Indonesia or finalists but also as alumni we can contribute directly to the Indonesian government," he added.

Roro said that dozens of Miss Indonesia finalists had come to the KPK several times to participate in the corruption prevention program. This is because women in the country must participate in eradicating violence.

"Eradicating corruption is not only a criminal act of corruption but our daily behavior. So, that is what we must cultivate," he said. Meanwhile, KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar hopes that the presence of these finalists can help his institution to eradicate corruption. In fact, the KPK is ready to cooperate with them as anti-corruption counselors.

"We invite friends, colleagues from Puteri Indonesia, can they be included as anti-corruption counselors, for example, can participate in anti-corruption campaigns for example," said Lili.

"Essentially, we invite all Miss Indonesia finalists to work together to build Indonesia free from corruption and to be included in the campaign program, whatever educational program it will be in the future," he added.

On that occasion, the Miss Indonesia finalists had time to style in the lobby of the building with the KPK symbol as the background. Together with Lili Pintauli Siregar, they voiced the slogan of the anti-corruption commission, 'Look, Fight, Report'.
