Minister Of Manpower Ida Encourages Online Ojek Drivers To Get Employment Social Protection Security
JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah encourages online motorcycle taxi drivers or transportation service drivers to obtain employment social protection guarantees. One of these guarantees regulates the protection of the risk of work accidents or their consequences
"The members of the DBOKC-FSPTSI are the nation's children who must receive social security protection and receive training to improve their skills," said the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah in a written statement, Monday, May 23.
Ida said that members of the Kamtibmas Ojek Driver Biker Organization (DBOKC) Partner Police FSPTSI (Federation of All Indonesian Transport Workers Unions) are children of the nation who must receive protection, both social security and receive training to improve their skills.
In addition, based on Antara's report, drivers must also have the opportunity to improve their competence in order to be able to face dynamic economic and employment developments in society.
Ida even assessed that organizational solidity and solidarity are the main things in achieving progress. Through solidity and solidarity that continues to be strengthened, members of the DBOKC-FSPTSI organization can become stronger and more respected.
In order to form this solidarity, he hopes that DBOKC-FSPTSI and other trade unions or labor unions will strengthen the organization through cooperation and communication with stakeholders.
"This collaboration and communication is important to encourage the growth of superior human resources in providing constructive and visionary solutions," said Ida.
Head of DBOKC-FSPTSI Ika Restianti appreciated the Ministry of Manpower for being willing to take a close look at the condition of the drivers.
"Because so far only formal workers have been regulated and paid attention to, informal workers like us have not been touched too much," said Ika.
In a halalbihalal event with a community of Indonesian drivers who are members of the DBOKC in South Tangerang on Monday (23/5), Ida also provided food packages assistance to several members, namely a cross-provincial truck driver, Sunaryo; Gobox Online driver, Redy; CDD Long truck driver, Jaenudin; online motorcycle taxi, Chairir; private driver, Ibnu Yakin; Grab Car driver, Komar; and the driver of the vegetable box car, Eneng.
