The Tourist Bus Driver Who Accident In Ciamis Kills 4 People Turns Himself In To The Police

BANDUNG - The driver of a tourism bus who was involved in an accident that killed four people in Ciamis Regency, West Java, has surrendered.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, said that the PO Pandawa bus driver had the initials IY. The driver survived but immediately fled after an accident on Saturday (21/5) afternoon.

"The person concerned (the driver) surrendered himself, at the beginning of the incident he fled," said Ibrahim in Bandung, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 23.

According to him, the driver was accompanied by the bus PO when he handed himself over to the police. He turned himself in to the Ciamis Police on Sunday (22/5) night.

After surrendering, according to Ibrahim, the police immediately conducted an examination of the bus driver. Even so, the police have so far not named a suspect for the accident.

The reason, he said, Ciamis Police investigators are still conducting an in-depth investigation to investigate the cause of the accident on the Panjalu-Panumbangan Highway.

"Because of the traffic accident, there must be an in-depth examination to find out the factors of the accident," said Ibrahim.

Previously, the accident occurred on Saturday (21/5) afternoon. The accident occurred on a road that has a downward contour.

The bus is thought to have lost control and crashed into a number of vehicles at the crash site and hit three residential units. As a result, four people died and dozens of others were injured.
