Police Name 2 Suspects In Student Stabbing Case In Kemayoran, Main Perpetrator Still In Pursuit
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still pursuing the main perpetrator of the GAHD stabbing (18), a SMK Taman Siswa II student who died in a brawl on Jalan Industri, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
"Members are still chasing one other perpetrator. Those being chased include the main perpetrator," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin, Monday, May 23.
Until now, officers are still continuing to investigate the case that killed one student.
Furthermore, regarding the 18 students who were detained at the Central Jakarta Police, the police have returned 16 people. Meanwhile, two other people have been charged with stabbing.
"The 16 students are still witnesses and we have sent them home," said Komarudin.
Even though they were sent home, the 16 students were also required to report to the Central Jakarta Metro Police.
"They must report to the Central Jakarta Metro Police," he said.
Separately, Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Ardiansyah said that his party would increase patrols in the field. This step is a form of prevention of brawls in the Kemayoran area.
"We spread out members when school children come home from school. We also urge students when they come home from school they go straight home," he explained.
