JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa revealed that as many as 10 individual TNI soldiers have been named as suspects in the human cage case belonging to the Regent of Langkat, North Sumatra, after the issuance of the Wind War Plan.
"The Langkat case is still ongoing. At that time there were 9 people from the TNI themselves, but now there are 10 suspects," said the TNI Commander after meeting the General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board KH Yahya Cholil Staquf at the PBNU Office, Central Jakarta. , reported by Antara, Monday, May 23.
He emphasized that the legal process for the human cage case was still ongoing, but it was also more important that the victim reveal who was involved.
"We also want the victims to reveal everything, so we can bring those involved since 2011 to account," said the former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD).
Previously, when receiving a visit from the head of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), Andika asked the victims not to be afraid to tell the truth.
"Don't be afraid, let's talk as it is so that we can really punish those involved," he said.
The TNI commander also asked all parties, especially the victims, to report any intimidation.
"If it is from the TNI who intimidates us, we will definitely follow up on it," he said.
Andika also asked the LPSK leadership to provide a list and home addresses of the victims so that the TNI could control them or carry out special patrols.
"We provide security for victims of various kinds of intimidation during the legal process," he asserted.
