The Rumors Of Tobey Maguire-Andrew Garfield In Spider-Man 3 Have The Potential To Create Bisexual Characters
JAKARTA - Spider-Man 3 is rumored to be starring Tom Holland, Tobey Macguire and Andrew Garfield.
According to Fandomwire , Sony sources who are 'closely involved in Spider-Man 3 have informed Macguire and Garfield will arrive at the final act of the film, bringing Spider-Verse to the Marvel Comics Universe for the first time.
The latest leak follows reports earlier this year that Marvel officials want to bring back Garfield's version of Spider-Man and give him a same-sex lover.
It was reported Washingtin Blade in February that Sony wanted Garfield to play the bisexual Spider-Man, years after the actor voiced out to have producers create pansexual characters.
"I'm really excited to get to a point where we don't have to have this conversation," Garfield said in 2015, "where we can have a pansexual Spider-Man."
“The richness of the world we are in, the diversity of the world we are in; You look at the animal kingdom and you see it reflected, "he told Mic .
"You have a look," he continued. "What are we so afraid of? Why are we so, 'No, it has to be like this, a man and a woman.' Why is it even a conversation? "
That call was reinforced years later by current Spider-Man actor Holland, who also said that Marvel superheroes didn't have to always be " straight white people."
When asked if Spider-Man could be gay, he shrugged: "Yes, of course."
When asked how quickly that could be realized, he said that the character's future was not his decision.
"But I know a lot about the future of Marvel, and they will represent many different people in the next few years," he explained.
