Achmad Yurianto's Body Will Be Buried In Military At Dadaprejo TPU, Batu City, Sunday 22 May 2022
JAKARTA - The body of the former Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19, Dr. Achmad Yurianto will be buried militarily at the Dadaprejo Public Cemetery (TPU), located in Junrejo District, Batu City, East Java on Sunday (22/5).
The deceased's older sister, Sri Yuriarti in Batu City, Saturday night said that the body was planned to be buried at the Dadaprejo TPU which is approximately 200 meters from the funeral home, on Ir Soekarno street, Batu City.
"According to the agreement, the plan is to be buried near here tomorrow," said Sri.
Achmad Yurianto's body arrived at the funeral home which is his parents' house at approximately 21:20 western Indonesia time, after being purified at the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Malang City, where the deceased had been undergoing treatment for the past few days.
Meanwhile, Achmad Yurianto's brother-in-law, Odang, said that according to information and family agreement, the deceased would be buried on Sunday morning using a military procession. The plan is that the deceased's body will be buried at the Dadaprejo TPU at around 10.00 western Indonesia time.
"Yes (military funeral), Sunday morning at the Dadaprejo TPU near here," he told Antara.

He added that his brother-in-law is indeed a retired Army officer with the last rank of Colonel CKM and is a friend of the former Minister of Health, Dr. Terawan.
Achmad Yurianto, who is also the Chairman of the BPJS Health Supervisory Board and once served as a spokesperson for COVID-19, has died after struggling for a long time with his illness.
The deceased died leaving his wife and two children on Saturday, at 18:58 western Indonesia time, after undergoing treatment at the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Malang City for approximately three days.
The body of the deceased is currently staying at the funeral home at Ir Soekarno Street Number 31, Batu City, East Java.
Before undergoing treatment at the Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang City, the late Achmad Yurianto was also treated at the Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) Jakarta due to colon cancer.
