Cooperating With Blue Bird, A Company Owned By Conglomerate Purnomo Prawiro, PT Angkasa Pura I Officially Operates Electric Taxi At Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang
JAKARTA - PT Blue Bird Tbk and PT Angkasa Pura I officially cooperated in providing mobility convenience in the form of an electric taxi at General Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang, Central Java.
President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk, Sigit Djokosoetono said the collaboration is in line with Blue Bird's mission to realize Mobility as A Service services that can support the transportation ecosystem at Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport.
"We thank PT Angkasa Pura I for giving us the trust to be a transportation partner for air transportation users to their destinations in Semarang City," he said in an official statement, Friday, May 20.
Sigit said that the trust of Blue Bird to operate at Ahmad Yani International Airport is also a form of expanding Blue Bird's accessibility to make it easier for people to get transportation services.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, the city of Semarang has raised its economic growth rate from -1.85 percent in 2020 to 5.16 percent in 2021. The city of Semarang is also listed as a supporting area for the national economy with an economic growth of 3.69 percent. also with Central Java Province with an achievement of 3.32 percent.
"By starting to control the pandemic, which is in line with the increasing pace of community activity, the presence of Blue Bird at Ahmad Yani International Airport is expected to help support economic recovery in Semarang City," he said.
Meanwhile, General Manager of General Ahmad Yani International Airport, Hardi Ariyanto, said that at the age of 50, Bluebird is still showing its existence. This is due to the consistency in maintaining service quality which is also accompanied by continuous innovation.
"This makes us more confident in providing comfort to Ahmad Yani International Airport Service Users," said Hardi.
Hardi said the presence of an electric taxi fleet at General Ahmad Yani International Airport is a form of support for Angkasa Pura I to adopt the concept of an eco-friendly airport.
"With the presence of E-Bluebird, we also want to bring environmentally friendly mobility to the community. We do this in order to support the government's efforts to reduce the impact of carbon emissions in order to create better air quality," he said.
