History Repeats Again, Watch Flashbacks Of The Indonesia Vs The Philippines MLBB Grand Finalist Competition
JAKARTA - The gold medal is in sight. Indonesia and the Philippines have successfully entered the Grand Final of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, to compete for the title of Champion at the 2021 SEA Games. So far, Indonesia and the Philippines have always been debated as the countries with the strongest MLBB players in Southeast Asia.
If you have to look back, the development of MLBB in Indonesia is indeed slightly behind the Philippines. This can be seen from the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC).
Indonesia was twice trusted to host the 2017 and 2018 MSC. However, in that event, not a single Indonesian team qualified for the final. While the Philippines managed to become the runner-up at MSC 2017. The following year, the Philippines again got a place in the final, and became the champion.
Continuing to 2019, the movement of Philippine games has decreased. Meanwhile, the movement of the Indonesian MLBB team is starting to show. Indonesia managed to clear out the final slot for the international event.
The two Indonesian teams, ONIC and Louvre Sport, managed to secure two final slots at the event. ONIC managed to come out as champion, and Louvre became runner-up.
The dominance of the two countries was proven again at the 2019 SEA Games. Where Indonesia and the Philippines met in the Grand Final round. However, in that year, the Philippines managed to win gold from Indonesia. Indonesia must accept its position as runner-up.
Like repeating time, at the 2021 SEA Games, Indonesia was reunited with its old rival the Philippines in the MLBB Grand Final.
If you look at Indonesia's performance in its three matches with Singapore, Vietnam, and finally Malaysia, Indonesia has shown its extraordinary ability by dominating all matches.
The Indonesian national team, which is under the tutelage of James, always plays well. Even always sweeping clean by getting a score of 2-0. Indonesia did not seem to give their opponents a chance to beat them.
Turning to the Philippines, the team from a country that has the nickname Pearl of the Orient Seas actually also has an extraordinary game.
In the Group Stage, the Philippines managed to clear out three other countries, namely Myanmar, Malaysia, and Laos with a full score of 2-0.
However, in the semifinals which took place on Thursday, May 19, it seemed that the Philippines had little resistance from Singapore. However, the Philippines still won the match with a final score of 2-1.
From the history of the two strongest countries in the MLBB number, this event is a witness, who will take the gold at the 31st SEA Games this year. You can watch the thrilling match on Friday, 20 May at 09.00 WIB via MPL Indonesia's YouTube channel.
