Demonstration Against Job Creation Act BEM SI, 8,000 Joint Personnel Deployed

JAKARTA - Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that his party together with the TNI and local governments (Pemda) mobilized thousands of personnel to secure a demonstration against the Job Creation Act at the State Palace.

Meanwhile, today's demonstration will be carried out by the Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI). They will take action in front of the State Palace with more than 6,000 people.

"More than 8,000 joint personnel from the TNI-Polri and the Regional Government," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Friday, October 16.

But that number is not the total. Because, there are still other personnel on alert at Polda Metro Jaya.

They will only be deployed if the situation has the potential for great chaos. So, later on, the condition of the capital will be conducive.

"There are 10,000 reserves (personnel) on standby at Polda," he said.

In their action they will urge President Joko Widodo to cancel the Job Creation Law by issuing a Government Regulation in Lieu of a Law (Perppu).
