Prosecutors Execute 2 Convicted Corruption Speedboats In Maluku To Jail
AMBON - The Maluku High Prosecutor's Office executed Desianus Orno alias Odie along with Margaretha Simatauw, two convicts of corruption in the budget for the procurement of four speedboats in Southwest Maluku Regency in 2015 worth more than Rp. 1 billion to the Ambon Penitentiary.

Odie Orno is the former Head of the Southwest Maluku Regency Transportation Service, while Margareta is a contractor for the procurement of goods and services who was sentenced to 1.4 years in prison and reduced to city detention by the Corruption Court of the Ambon District Court and strengthened by an appeal decision by the Corruption Court Judge at the local High Court Office. .
According to him, Margaretha is a third party who serves as Director of CV. Tri Putra Fajar and involved in the project to procure four "speedboats".
Meanwhile, another defendant on behalf of Rego Kontul as PPTK is still making an appeal to the Supreme Court after he was sentenced to one year and two months in prison at the first and second level corruption courts.
He said that the appeal was made by the Maluku Attorney General's Office after the judges decided that the first level corruption case was 1.4 years in prison while the Public Prosecutor demanded two years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million.
Odie Orno, who is the younger brother of the Maluku Deputy Governor, together with Margaretha and Rego Kontul, were found guilty of violating Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) of Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
