Bali Police Search For Miss Global Estonia, Who Goes Viral Accusing Police Like Asking Tourists For Money
DENPASAR - The Bali Police team is looking for an Estonian citizen, Valeria Vasilieva, Miss Global Estonia 2022, who accused the police of asking foreign tourists for money in Bali.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Syamsi, said the Bali Police were still looking for Valeria, who was most likely still in Bali. In a viral video uploaded to a TikTok account, it is known that this Estonian Caucasian is on vacation in Bali.
"So they are still looking for his whereabouts, most likely he is still in Bali. So, the team from the Special Crimes Committee is still looking for the whereabouts of the person concerned, they want clarification first," said Syamsi, Thursday, May 19.
Although Estonian Caucasian Valeria Vasilieva has apologized, the police still want to clarify the post that accused the police in Bali of asking for money.
"Even though he has apologized on social media. However, it needs to be called for questioning from the person concerned. He said that the police were corrupt, although he apologized, his whereabouts were still being sought and asked for information from the person concerned," he continued.
Syamsi doesn't want to talk much about allegations that the Balinese police are corrupt because they ask foreign tourists for money. Because it must be known first the events experienced by the Estonian Caucasians.
"We can't make it up first. In fact, we call him. Is it true or not, that's where a decision can be made whether the person concerned just needs to apologize or take legal action, yes, it depends on the process later," he said.

The video was uploaded to Valeria Vasilieva's TikTok account, @lerusi_k. He satirized the police while on vacation to the Island of the Gods. In the upload, he called the police in Bali as corrupt, because they always ask tourists for money.
