Youth Arrested In Banyumas Turns Out To Be A Drug Case Recidivist

PURWOKERTO - The Banyumas City Police Drug Investigation Unit (Polresta) has detained a drug case recidivist on suspicion of still abusing shabu-shabu.

"The recidivist has the initials LR (29), a resident of Karangklesem Village, South Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency," said Head of the Banyumas Police, Sr. Comr. Edy Suranta Sitepu accompanied by the Head of the Narcotics Unit, Adjunct Police Commissioner Guntar Arif Setiyoko, in Purwokerto, Banyumas, as reported by Antara, Thursday, 19 May.

He said that the arrest of LR after his party received information that a man often abused methamphetamine.

Based on this information, the Narcotics Unit of the Banyumas Police carried out an investigation for approximately 1 week until they finally succeeded in arresting LR on Jalan Bengkel, Kranji Village, East Purwokerto District, Banyumas, on Tuesday, 17 May.

During the arrest, the Narcotics Satres officers confiscated evidence in the form of a transparent plastic clip containing crystal powder suspected of having methamphetamine. The transparent plastic clip was wrapped in red insulation. In addition, his party also confiscated 1 glass pipette, 1 black straw, 1 red match, 1 black shorts, 1 blue Redmi 6 mobile phone, 1 BCA ATM card, 1 colored hanging rack. red, and 1 unit of red Beat motorcycle.

Head of the Narcotics Satres AKP Guntar Arif Setiyoko added that his party brought the suspect LR along with all the evidence to the Banyumas Police Narcotics Satres Office for further examination.

In relation to the case, he said that the suspect who is a drug recidivist will be charged with Article 112 paragraph (1) subsidiary to Article 127 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
