Two ATM Machines At Indomaret Cipayung, East Jakarta Burnt, Losses Reaching IDR 509 Million
JAKARTA – Two automatic teller machines (ATM) at Indomaret Jalan Raya Setu Cipayung, Setu Village, Cipayung District caught fire. The incident was reported by residents on Thursday, May 19 at around 03.43 WIB.
East Jakarta Sub-dept. of Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) dispatched 5 units of fire engines to the location of the hotspots.
"The extinguishing process began at 03.46 WIB by 25 East Jakarta Gulkarmat personnel. The fire began to extinguish at 04.05 WIB and the extinguishing process was completed at 04.31 WIB," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman to reporters, Thursday, May 19.
From the results of the inspection, it turned out that the objects that caught fire were two ATM machines inside the minimarket.
"The fire is thought to have been caused by an electrical short circuit from the ATM's electrical panel. The loss is estimated at 509 million. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of this incident," he said.
