Papuan Police Chief Asks Supporting Groups Of Demonstration To Reject DOB To Stop Action
JAYAPURA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri asked groups that have been supporting children to hold demonstrations against the new autonomous regions (DOB) to stop their activities. "Don't encourage them to hold demonstrations against new autonomous regions because there are many who support new autonomous regions. Let's stop pushing children to reject new autonomous regions," said Inspector General Pol Fakhiri in Jayapura, Thursday 19 May.
He emphasized that the Papuan Police themselves would support the central government's policy to expand in several regions.
"We will guard and support the government's policies, even though there are refusal actions that will be carried out by communication to inform the people of the benefits of expansion for the people in Papua," said Fakhiri, quoted by Antara. groups that are not with DOB supporters.
